Folks!

The world focuses on the here and now, with no thought of tomorrow. But the things the world considers important—power, position, wealth, and status—are perishable. But, as a christian…

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2

When David walked into the battlefield and saw Goliath, he had a different perspective. All Israel’s army was intimidated by the sheer size of this monster of a man. They looked at themselves, put themselves on the scales with Goliath and they found themselves wanting and so they were scared and hid. That’s the perspective some of us have.
David on the other hand looked at the size of this monster of a man and comparing him to the God who had delivered him from the lion and the bear, In David’s eyes Goliath looked tiny and defeated.
What is your perspective? God assure us…

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” – Luke 10:19

What kind of a believer are you? It’s easy to blame our wicked culture for the way we are but the fact of that matter is that it’s our job as followers of Jesus to permeate and affect it. Times are so bad that wickedness is full to the brim, just as in antediluvian times, yet Noah faithfully served the Lord despite the criticism of his culture. He raised his family as believers as well, and preached to others…

“Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.” – Genesis 6:9

What kind of atmosphere do you think you would find in a prison? Definately a depressing and dejected one.The kind of atmosphere that brings you down and suppresses you. The kind that draws in depression and defeat. Paul and Silas find themselves in such an atmosphere and instead of getting with the program and making a pity party of the situation, they change the atmosphere. We too should change the atmosphere sorrounding us with the praise and worship of God, with thanksgiving in our hearts. Consider this…

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.” – Acts 16:25-26

Glory to God in the highest!
Indeed He is faithful and worthy to be worshipped.
